Here is a test I did using the HPX170 and the Cinemek G35 Backlit.

Looks very nice, Dana. Beautiful and simple. Good stuff!
What kind of glass did you use?
I haven't had much of a chance yet to play with my G35 on my HPX170 but I'm looking forward to it!

thanks. no nd or polorizers
Nice work, great looking footage. Both of your vids (this and "Shades of Penn.") look really terrific. I'm really digging the look of the G35 alot - it's got a very vintage quality to it.

LuckyStudio,
I have the 72mm attachment until the "tube" attachment is done. Jon Said the tube attachment will be done mid january i think.

both your G35 vids look brilliant!
the extra diffusion of the G35 really gives HD a more organic look over the other adapters.
Have you done any test to see how far you’d comfortably stop down before risking static grain showing up in skies and stuff?

jenningsp,
i agree that the g35 gives the most organic look. i have done tests up to f5.6 and have not seen it. depends on the conditions as well. f5.6 is as far as i would go. i usually shoot around f2.8
Do you have any indoor clips (ie. artificial light) that you could post?

Very cool - thanks!
I'm looking forward to seeing them. I'm quite serious about buying this adapter and I'd like to know what sort of lighting you're using indoors given some of the comments (not in this particular thread) about light loss.
again thanks - your work looks terrific! Probably the most organic I've seen the HPX170 look.
