Anyone had succus with running a brevis at 720/50 with a 120 shutter, inital testes showed a plusing indicative of the sersor seeing the movement in the ground glass, can the motor but speed up to overcome this limitation ?, any idea would be helpful

Cheers

Yes, you can change the sped of the motor and depending on what version of the Brevis you have it will be an external knob or you will have to open the case and use a flathead to do the job.

FYI: I have been able to go to 1/250th if I'm wide open on my SLR lens, and 1/120th at f/5.6-8

F8 on a vibrating adapter?

The MP.1 does not vibrate. The motion is a near perfect circular oscillation which was achieved from very careful design. The oscillation amplitude and frequency are controlled by the onboard microprocessor. On MP.1 units this can be adjusted on the fly (as it should be) with a full rig via the adjustment port. Normally the units are shipped calibrated approximately to the usual shutter speed at 24p...which is 1/48s. It can be tuned to 1/250s if desired. There's a tuning guide in our owner's forum section that covers the basic procedure.

The microprocessor also automatically flashes the power LED as the charge drops, and eventually will perform system shutdown to prevent draining the onboard cells. This keeps their voltage relatively high so the included "smart" charger can always see the cells. Combined with all the other features of the adapter, we're pretty sure it's one of the most technically advanced units in the world. The onboard firmware can be updated here via the firmware update port at the rear of the unit.

Yup. Doesn't work on every shot though, I will say that. Check the opening of this piece, specifically the semi-slow motion of my brother and sister in the leaves. 30p 1/60th at f/8 (and some 60i 1/120th) on a 70-210mm f/5.6-8.

do you have that in HD? That resolution is too difficult to see the effects.

just shot some neat kungfu at 250 and it was holding up, i guess my problem dennis is i can never tell what the in the brevis motor is doing, i mean i slow it down and crank it with the amount of turns I make, maybe i should read the manuel again, but for the test 250 was holding up well :), whats the offical word on F stops dennis ?
