CARL ZEISS 16MM ZOOM CINE HD LENS ARRI ARRIFLEX B MOUNT
I am not familiar with many PL mount style lenses, and am looking for a little schooling. If anyone knows of an existing thread that can point me into the right direction please don't hold back. I did conduct a search with little result.
BTW, What is the difference between a bayonet and a PL lens.
Thanks

I'd be concerned about a lens designed for 16mm work being able to cover the 36mm wide image area that any of these SLR lens adapters are expecting you to cover. I bet some of them will, but since they didn't design them with that in mind, it would just be a happy accident.
Arri Bayonet Mount and Arri PL Mount are simply two incompatible lens mounts that Arri designed - PL Mount is the newer and more improved style but there are still plenty of bayonet mount lenses and cameras around. I believe they make adapters to put bayonet mount lenses on a PL mount camera. The flange focal distance is the same.

Thanks for the heads up frobozz. The asking price for his lens is around $700.00. I was wondering if anyone has used it with the extreme? Very curious. I own some zeiss lenses and was looking to try out some PL mount zoom lenses when this offer popped up.
Has anyone used this lens with an adapter?
