How is the quality of the Adobe Mpeg Decoder compaired to the Canopus Procoder . Pros or con ?

I think you mean the Adobe MPEG **encoder**.
I haven't noticed any problems. It's not really Adobe's encoder, it's made by Main Concept, and it's used by a lot of different companies that don't have their own encoder.
I've never used Conopus, so I can't say there. But formerly I used TMPGEnc and loved it, and tended to avoid using Premiere for my encodes.
But gradually I have drifted over to using the Adobe (Main Concept) encoder. I haven't noticed any real problems, and the output looks satisfactory.
The main reason I switched was because of the integration between PPRo and Encore DVD. That way, markers placed in the PPro timeline can be exported as chapter marks for DVD authoring.
