Am i correct in the AVCHD log and capture of the latest FCP version will only work with Intel Macs?
Im still on a G5 and FCS1. All is well with the Toast 9 transcode but now I have run into the problem of the clip spanning when using toast to transcode 4GB plus long clips. I have a feeling the transcoding in FCP 6 will join the clips correctly?

log and transfer (not log and capture) is the process and it is intel only.

Yes I know. Transcoding is no problem. My concern now is the spanning of clips longer than 24 minutes. Just shot a parade for fun and it was 50 minutes long. I didnt get a smooth transition from the 4GB file size of the 24 minutes to the next after transcoding with Toast to AIC. I thought FCP would take care of that. This was the first time I recorded straight for that amount of time.

I enlarged the VideoPierHD.
OK, I've never heard of VideoPierHD before. Has anyone tried it?
How does it work on the 720/30p files?

I received a copy of a version of VideoPierHD that does work.
I had provided a mts file from the HMC150 to the company and they sent this version to me to test. It works.
But I don't know if it is generally available.
I also haven't tried 30p because I don't usually shoot it.
