I shot some amazing footage over the weekend and want to get the best quality quicktime clips that I can.
I find that using the Premeire Pro 1.5 export features give good quality, but the clips are very small, 1 inch x 1 inch more or less. I'd like to get a bigger clip without giving up the quality and without them being too big in size (MBs).
In short, I'd like the clips to look like they do when editing them in Premeire Pro. Any tips on how to get this sort of quality in quicktime format?

Are you talking about going to the Web with this quicktime file? If so, in my experience, Sorenson Squeeze is the only way to go. You can check out examples of the compression in this thread...

Scroll halfway down the page to see the links to my files.

Thanks... Hey, does this software package stand on its own or is it a plug-in?

disjecta,
How in the world do you decide what choices to make using this software. I know nothing about this.

I've answered this in a PM before so I'm just going to copy and paste:
Stream Type: Non Streaming
Video Output: Sorenson Video Pro
Data Rate: 768
Method: Sorenson 2-Pass VBR
Frame Size: 540 w x 304 h
Maintain Aspect Ratio: I leave unchecked
Keyframe every 50 frames
Audio Output: checked
Fraunhofer MP3
Data Rate: 256
Sample Rate: 48,000khz
Channels: Stereo
These are good settings for a regular 16:9 file.

unfortunately my version of premiere pro (1.5) looks nothing like the info you guys typed here.
i too am looking to get a high quality QT export of 24pA footage filmed at 16:9 and when i choose "adobe media encoder" and then "quicktime" i see very few similarities from what you typed. sorenson pro for example isnt there, fraunhofer mp3 either. not ot mention data rate, leaving aaspect ratio unchecked. hmmmmmm.
you did this from permiere or from another program?

Sorenson Pro is a standalone program. Nothing to do with Premiere. I export my Premiere timeline as an avi and then import it into Serenson and use the settings above.
