I just finished the main remodel of the Still Guerrilla Films website. I didn't have a reason to keep it up today because I spend more time making documentaries than fictional films but I like that this LossFest is giving me more motivation to work on fictional films. I need more practice for sure, its much harder than making docs. :)
If you like, check the site out: www.stillguerrillafilms.com (http://www.stillguerrillafilms.com)
I need to find something more filling for the front page but overall,it has everything neccessary for what I do. :) Links for my films are on the left, all the other goodies are in the top menu. :)
Cheers!

I'm writing the script for this film and it's proving to be a good exercise for me. Things I've learned from the films I've done for practice are really starting to come in handy. For instance (also true for my documentary films), I'm starting to see where I tend to miss shooting "filler" shots (B-roll in doc land) that help tell the story. I have this 4 page script that, yes has all of the meaty shots that make up the bulk of the story but I can tell now by looking at it and imaging it play out, that it's missing supplemental shots that add another depth of emotion to the film.
I also find it a challenge knowing when to use movement and when not to use movement. This should be a great exercise.
Cheers!

Here is the first poster I created for the film. I'm not sure what the final will be but I'll use this one for now. I normally do a few variations so this is no exception. Same poster with different color treatments. The one I'd most likely use is in the first post up top. Cheers!

Nice poster. One thing I noticed...is it supposed to say 'lose' or 'loose'
I'm looking forward to your entry. Do you know when you intend to start shooting?

Thanks. It's supposed to say lose. Thanks for spotting that. I changed them.

Thanks. I'm actually considering pulling out. I'm having too hard of a time casting.
Update: Yeah, I'm done. Maybe another fest....

I've regrouped and decided to film something for the fest based on the talent I have available. So I'm making a new film called "FramesPerSecond". Seems I can't change the title in the thread though. May start a new thread. Waiting to hear back from the site admin to see if it is possible to just change the title of the movie in this thread.

I've accepted that I don't have the talent that I need to make a film here and that will probably be the case until I move (which is planned for this year). So there will be no more fictional films for me until that time. Unless I decided to star in them all (not likely). So I've got to officially pull out of this fest...again. hahaha

Thanks but I've pulled out of the fest as mentioned in my post right above yours. :) I wish I could but nothing I can do about where I live at the moment.

I'm digging the top right one (gold) the most. It draws me in more than the others.
