Just got my 150 and the official model number is the "AG-HMC150PJ". Not JP, like Japan, but PJ. What the heck is the PJ for and is everyone else's 150 the same model number?
I searched the forums but could not find anything with this particular model number.

Shrigg also has a PJ if I'm correct. (Don't ask how I know that lol)

Heh- yeah I saw that Shrigg thing by doing a Google search, and that was the only link that came up. Did he question the validity of it too? Maybe I'll PM him.

I just got a "plain" AG-HMC150P".
No J, PJ or anything.

All the ones I've seen have said AG-HMC150P, I've never seen the J.

I got PJ on the box but (I) just p on my camera.
All this talk about PJ makes me want a sandwich :)

Upon further confusion.... yes, I am a dork.
The outer box was indeed a "PJ". The camera itself is just a P. I have no idea why Panny decided to fool the hell out of me with that!
Now off to get my own PBJ.

they did this same thing on the hvx200's. Although I don't know literally what "PJ" stands for, I do know that this is the suffix Panasonic adds to the end of some models to indicate US market product. they ship from Japan, so maybe that's where the "J" comes from (?)

yea "p" is just the letter at the end of the model of the first of a series, for example, dvx100p, then came "a" then "b" obviously, so i think they plan on coming out with an "a" version in the future, im going completely off of my ideas, i have no more knowledge than anyone else haha.
