What happens when using a digital camera lens with a DOF Adapter
eg. Nikon 18-70mm ED Lens on a Letus Extreme/Elite
What is the effective focal length?
Will it vignette?

if it's a dx lens - the crop factor ones, you'll get a lot more vignetting.
think the focal length will be the same, or at least, you'd get a wider field of view than on a dx slr sensor. i don't know if the 18-70 is 35mm terms or not. 18 is very wide.
also they are quite slow, so light loss will be increased.
and that lens doesn't have a manual aperture ring, so you'll need to tape the prong or put a match stick to stop it from automatically closing up.
in short, digital lenses are not the easiest to use with 35mm adapters.

Digital lens generally won't have a wide enough field of view to be used effectively on an adapter . it is smaller than "academy" and much smaller than SLR. If your adapter can zoom in enough to keep it sharp you could use it but its not ideal and may not work at all.
