Hi this is my first transfer from a P2 card into my computer and the clips appear to be locked.
according to the info from the card 13 GB have been transfer and when I import them in to FCP you can only see the thumbnails.

does any one knows what is going on or how can I get the the clips in to my hard drive to start editing?

this are my comp specs

Are you using Log and Transfer to bring in the MXF Files? FCP doesn't work with MXF files. So you have to either bring them in via Log and Transfer to re-wrap them as a QuickTime file or using something like Raylight to create a QuickTime proxy file.

It's also best not to double post and carry two identical threads.

As I stated earlier, we need specific details about your software set up. You mention "import" which isn't FCP 6.0.x. And it may not be correct.

so help us out by answering the questions in your other identical thread as well.

I've had a problem like this before. I downloaded this app http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Security/Locker.shtml simply drag your virtual p2 card folder into this icon and select unlock all. Then log and transfer and you should be set.

The Leopard OSX for Mac had a problem locking all the clips being copied over from the P2 cards. Mac had released a fix for it I thought in the form of an update.

Maybe get the updates for your OS?
