Low Light / grainy footage

Hello

I'm new with the HVX. Im looking for some tips on how to keep the image nice and sharp in low light situations. I've seen a lot of videos that are shot with very low lighting and the image looks very clear. I've done some shooting with low light and it just looks grainy. Is there something I can do to make it look sharper??.
