View Full Version : Audio drifting out of sync

Working on a 24pa project. 13 tracks of audio. SB Audigy 2 Platinum Pro audio card. When playing back from the start of the timeline I'm noticing that by 11 or 12 minutes the audio has drifted out of sync by a few frames. If I stop playback and scrub back a few seconds and resume, everything is in sync again.

I'm not talking about issues of audio drop outs or sudden changes of audio content (ie: playing audio from other portions of the clip) - but a gradual drifting of sync after several minutes. I know all about unlinking and relinking clips.

Anyone seen this? Posting over on the Adobe forum results in the usual jackass replies. I wonder, since there are other known 24p issues, if this is another possible bug.

i cant remember if you can choose in a 24p project right now, but is your project set to drop frame, or non drop frame?

are you proccessing any effects on the video without pre-renderd clips?

Thanks Iamloser. There are no options in PPro 1.5 for time code formats other than setting the display format in project settings and timecode format under device control for capture. *

And honestly I'm not sure how that would make a difference as drop and non-drop are simply methods for counting frames in relation to time and have no affect on playback speed or things like that.

In any case, I'm pretty sure the footage was shot and captured using non-drop tc. And, everything in the timeline has been rendered.
