I'm trying to learn everything about this camera.. and I recently decided to mess around with the shutter speeds. I was wondering.. what are the advantages of using various shutter speeds when filming? Why not just leave it on 1/60? Also.. what's the difference between the frame rate such as 24p and the shutter speed? How do they affect one another?
Sorry if this is a lot of questions, I've been reading on wikipedia and stuff and I'm becoming more confused as I go along.

would you consider 1/60 standard not to be a good shutter to use on 24p?

I've shot 1/60 in 24p it will have slightly less motion blur than 1/48.

How shutter angle relates is good to know:

how did you get to 1/48 anyway. mine doesn't get to that when I toggle through the different options for shutter speed
And thanks Shrig! Will look indeed.

turning the shutter to Off in 24p will give you 1/50 and the syncro scan button will allow you access to 1/48.
