Mechanical or electrical problems with hvx/dvx

So i am curious if anyone has any technical questions about any issues with their equipment? I've noticed a lot of people i have come in contact with have had issues with the zoom rocker control back focusing on its own and firwire issues as well as problems with main functions of the hvx 200. If there is anyone who is having those similar issues or anything else related to the hvx/dvx series of issues and would like some helpful feedback from an authorized panasonic service technician... Please let me know :)

The quality of the HVX firewire connector is the worst. It did great the first three shoots I did but now I'm considering hacking in a 6pin connector. Is there anything I can do before I break out the solder and exacto knife?
