Some exclusive photos of the final SGblade

Me n' Wayne met up today regarding the Hocus Focus, and whilst I was over there, I had a quick play with some of the blade prototypes.

These photos show the un anodized, bare naked aluminium body of the final shape of the SG blade. The switches and plugs are not in this version, but this shows the shape that the shipped blades will be.

The flat part with the SGBlade bubble sticker is part of the interchangeable ground glass system.

These pictures also show the brand new SGflip unit from today which features a new achromat and a wider opening at the camera end. It is also smaller and lighter, produces less CA and is sharper than the previous versions.

Wayne has also informed me that all parts for the first run of Blades will be in and ready for assembly before christmas. Orders page will open around the 18th of December.

The Blade can be purchased with either a flip module or non flip tube (less expensive but the image is upside down) or both if needed. We are calling these the 'connection kits' for the Blade.

The price of an SGblade with flip module, SLR lens mount, flightcase and FREE shipping will be £848 (approx. $1240 shipped)

If you are already a shoot35 customer and have previously purchased an SGpro, you will get one £50 discount on the Blade. This means that if you already own an SGpro with a flip module, you can use this on the Blade and will only need to purchase the main Blade base (£599) minus discount which brings the price to £549 (approx. $800 shipped)

If you want the new railmount, add £149.
