My Production company got hired to shoot former Yankee star Bernie Williams as he played an acoustic version of "Take me out to the Ball Game" in Yankee Stadium. Since the structure is being torn down next year, this was the last major shoot they said would occur in the stadium and many of the shots we got were the last there will be of the inside. Having been a Yankee for years and being the 2nd all time double hitter behind Lou Gehrig, Yankee stadium held a special place in Bernie's heart.
Anyways, thats the background story. Now for the footage. We shot this with two EX-1's. One with a Letus Extreme attached and a Canon 28mm. We were not allowed to put any equipment, even tripods on the field, so we had to use the warning track around the field, and go handheld on the field. We had a crane, and a couple of other tracks for other shots, which you won't see here. The time of day was around 2-3pm, but during winter the sun sets early, and so we were able to get a sunset look for most of the shots. Either way, I should stress that none of the footage you're about to see was color corrected or tweaked in any way other then I added a slight gamma filter (0.84) to all the images to give them a little bit of contrast.
This is also no where near what the final video will look like, as we will incorporate archival footage from the MLB as well as Bernie's highlights.
