Hi all. I recently got a great job doing multimedia, and one of the first things I have been tasked with is to take a massive photo library and get catalog it. I am looking for software which will allow me to enter key words for descriptions which can be used to locate photos/image files later. Thumbnail are also crucial, naturally.

Adobe Bridge technically can do it, but it gets cumbersome very, very quickly. What kinds of software do you guys use or have you used which you feel to be a great addition to your imaging aresenal?

Thank you for any help you can lend.

EDIT: I just found out it has be able to be used via server. So server based software is a must.

Believe it or not, I've found Picassa to be very useful for that.

I just use lightroom. You can publish a gallery that has the metadata that you add to it.
