30P to 24p Slow Motion

I've done this before without a problem, but it's been awhile since I've worked with 30p stuff and now I can't figure this out for the life of me.

Can someone give me a quick step-by-step of shooting 30p and slowing it down for a 23.98 sequence?


What I've done so far that's not working:
Shoot 30p
Capture at 29.97 with the "remove duplicate frames" box checked
Drop this 30p clip into a 23.98 sequence
Change speed of clip to 80% with "blend frames" box unchecked
Render

After doing this the playback is jerky, with a frame getting skipped and the next frame doubled every so often.
I have a feeling the problem is with my capture settings. I know this is simple stuff, but I'm being an idiot right now and can't figure it out.
Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks!

1) There are no duplicate frames to remove.
2) Load the clip into Cinema Tools and conform it to 23.98.

I figured my capture settings were wrong, so I tried capturing just as normal 29.97 footage. I dropped this into a 23.98 sequence and changed the speed to 80%. Still didn't work, so I conformed it in Cinema Tools to 23.98 and that seemed to work just fine. Hooray.
Then I checked back on here and found your reply saying the same thing. So thanks; that's the answer.
