looks great! Have you seen the snowboarding video "Picture This" ?
I just shot a skateboarding montage in Baltimore Maryland last weekend and was very impressed with the HPX170, the frame rate + user button came in handy so much, and delete last clip, I am sure you know what i am talking about.
I'll be uploading the video hopefully tomorrow night

Sick, nice angles, liked the dolly. I also liked what you did in post.
The 270 450 pretzle was sick too.

I have a really cool project planned this winter that I'll be shooting with the 170, you'll be seeing a ton of skiing footage once the snow falls.

Did you shoot that slow motion in camera, or just at 60 fps and doing slow motion with the timeline?

Was this shot with that slider you made? And what are your plans for filming skiing this year?

yep, I was using my diy indislider.
I don't have plans for a film, but I have a new project lined up, should be a great season.

And what kind of project would that be? I dont mean to be nosey or anything I just dig your stuff and want to see where you are going with it this year.
I got a thing set up with volkl and smith to do a seasons worth of webisodes, so I assume your project is something similar?

I can't really say much about it at the moment. Part of it will be web based though. But at the moment, we have no snow so we're just waiting until we get that first foot, then we start filming.

I hear ya there, we have no snow at all in tahoe and no signs of it in the 10 day :( but yeah, keep us updated on your stuff, and keep up the good work!

the shots are amazing, i love the feel of the edit. what were the settings you were working with and what all did you do in post. and what was your shutter speed set to?

Shutter was at 1/120. I was basically shooting with the stock cine-d file with a few small adjustments here and there. To get that look, I overexposed the snow, desaturated the image, and tinted it blue. That's about it.
