Nice. I should have time for this one. (I had a pretty cool idea for the RED contest but not time to set it up.)
Just grab the camera and take a picture of the dog.

Note
Do you mean 720x720 PIXELS? This doesn't make any sense. I already uploaded several 3000x2000 @ 72 images... do I need to re-upload?

I think it's obvious, yes, he meant to say pixels guys. The dpi thing is weird, not sure why going from 300 to 72 makes a difference, but at least he fixed it and made the pixels right. 720X720px max.

I assume he meant pixels, yes, however my personal question still stands... I have already uploaded 6mp images. Should I re-upload at the smaller size, or no?

Same here I assumed he meant pixels.....
Anyhow I entered the contest and I re-sized my photos to nothing bigger than 720 x 720 and 72dpi.
I submitted 3 photos :).

Resize your pictures to a max size of 720x720. It's really simple to do in photoshop.

Yes, thanks, I know how to resize images. I'll just print them out and then rephotograph them at the correct size.
My question is whether it's more hassle for the admin to sort out another set of images. For the record I uploaded my images before the resolution spec was posted. So one more time: Jeremy, would you like me to reupload my images at the correct size?

You might have better luck sending Jeremy a PM instead of asking it over and over in here. Just a thought :)

There are stars under each image, 1-10. Click the appropriate number! Just like on Amazon or iTunes or whatever.
Larry Rutledge
12-08-2008, 12:26 PM
You should see a block of 10 stars below each image ... just hilight the number of stars that represent your rating of that photo on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being bad photo, 10 being excellent photo). As soon as you click the star the rating is recorded. If you click the wrong star, simply click on the correct star and your rating will be updated.

I'm not sure why you don't see the stars ... I'll have to investigate it and try to figure out what's going on.
I just checked your user account and it is configured correctly for rating ... are you able to see the stars in the DVXFests? What OS/Browser are you using? Do you have Javascript enabled (it utilizes javascript)?

So, what were you using that isn't working?
I just tried IE on Windows XP (I normally use Firefox) and get an error that Internet Explorer cannot open the site and when I click OK I get a "the page cannot be displayed" error. So obviously some thing in my code isn't playing nicely with IE ... I'll have to figure out which piece it is and correct it. Sorry for the inconvenience ... fortunately, in the meantime, it sounds like other browsers are ok.

My issue is IE as well. Whatever the newest flavor is.
I get farther than you do, I'm able to view log in, view the photos and comment, but the stars aren't there. I'll email you a screenshot.
