Great tutorial Anhar.
I seldom use less than 6 lights but some of the big artists I've seen use up to 22.
Very educational and well written. Lighting really is one of the most overlooked aspects of 3D.

@Raptor, yep you can use lots of lights, esp for more complex scenes, one of the benifits of hand or manual GI, is uber fast render times. Under half a second for those scenes on my machine. Using real GI rendering engines would take many minutes!
Of course I'm not saying it should always be done by hand, its just good to know how light behaves!
