Hi Guys, i heard the HVX pretty much sucks in low light situations when compared to its sibling DVX, does anyone know if Panasonic are going to improve this with any of the cameras in the future?? I mostly shoot weddings. Im afriad i might have to join the Sony darkside and get an EX3. Dont really wanna though. Anyone?

The HVX200A and HPX170 are already vastly improved and are now on par or better than the DVX in low light.

Thanks Barry. Which would you recommend?

If you want tape as well, the 200a.

If you want p2 only along with SDI, locking FW port, etc., lighter, etc., go with the 170.

Recommend is difficult to assess without setting forth the criteria that is most important.

Both shoot equally in low light.

Are you planning on using it for some special shots or for the whole wedding? (I am assuming that you would be shooting HD)
