Hey guys,
Hoping someone out there can help.. I've been using FCE 3.5HD for over a year now and all was going great until I decided to capture some footage the other day. When I try to start FCE with or with the deck attached I get the following error message and can go no further with FCE.. " To preserve the integrity of the data used by Final Cut Express HD, it is necessary to ensure the existence of the following path(s): "Macintosh HD/Users/steverawls/.Trash/Final Cut Express DocumentsMacHD' is missing"
Now some background, I'm running a fairly new iMac with a 1 terabite external HD which is where my scratch disc lives. After receiving the message above numerous times I dumped FCE and all the preferences from the internal drive and did a fresh upload of the program.... But I'm still getting the same error message and can't get past it to capture or work on any files and footage already captured... Any ideas ??
Thanks a bunch,
Steve
