11.25.2008 The Destruction of what now?

Before I bore everyone with journal entries about my actual film making experience extravaganza, I suppose I'd better tell you what the film is about!

The Destruction of Alice is a non-linear (stop cringing) twisted coming of age story. (no really, stop cringing, your face will freeze that way.) Alice knows how to act and what's expected of her in a time as terrible as losing a family member. The problem is, you see, she can't seem to stop smiling to herself...


11.26.2008 Hurrah for Writing talent!

Faith Nelson of DVXuser has signed on to do the script - Now we're getting the ball rolling!

12.03.2008 Moving right along....

The first draft of the script is complete. The second draft is underway, and much of the casting is done. Stay tuned for cast photos!

12.04.2008 Now we're talking!

Wow, Faith works fast! We now have the script ready for read-throughs with the cast. I definitely just rhymed on accident. Ha ha. Anyway, be sure to check out the cast section, as I have just introduced some of our actors!

12.07.2008 location location location

We had the read throughs and it went really well! Now we are starting to lock down locations and finish tweaking the script. It's really starting to come together. Stay tuned for test footage and screengrabs.

The first incarnation of the script is finished, and the second draft should be done Saturday. After that we will have a read through with the cast, and work out any bugs.

Awesome! When are you planning on filming?

hopefully in about two weeks. That way it will coincide perfectly with my actors Winter break from college... . I plan on taking a week to shoot, which isn't too terrible, consdering tracey fragements was done in just a couple of weeks, and is more than 10 times longer than this will be. That way I have forever to edit and do any cc, which you know I will take forever on, haha.

Haha, yeah post production takes slightly longer than the time period you have, no matter how much time you give yourself, but you especially... :grin:
