There is a website called ifckc.org they have weekly meetings, I haven't been in a year or so but a lot of indies from kansas & missouri are members. I'd send an email to the president and he will start announcing your request every week at the meetings. If this is a movie with a budget of over something like $30k I wouldn't use the ifc in kc. Most of the members make shorts or no budget films.

May I ask why in Ks or Mo? Aren't you out in CA?

If it has to been shot in the midwest have you thought about TX? Austin has a lot of indies.

Seems to me I sent an email to them once maybe a year back and never heard back, but I migfht be confusing them with someone else. I'll follow your advice.

The reason is there are a few child actresses in the area I would like to keep busy with short film. One has traveled to NY for one of my films, but that extravagance just isn't feesable on any kind of regular basis.

I'll email the folks you recommendsed and see how that goes.

I'm around the area, and I hope to do something for this fest. I had planned on participating in the last one, but things fell apart pretty quickly. I'm hesitant to commit with anyone on any aspect until I have the script done, though. But, if I find I have roles to fill, I'll hit you up.
