How do I add a external source to my hvx200

I am setting up to do a product review video and I have one of those cctv cameras for close up shots while holding the product.

Id like to have a way to record that camera's feed via a switch or something.

I know if I put the camera in dub mode it with record from the rca input and that does work, but I was hoping to record to the p2 card and not to the tape. I can handle only recording in SD, but I have no idea how to set up the switch if it even possible.

IIRC, the HVX can't take an external composite input and record that directly to P2, instead it has to record that directly to tape. If your camera had a firewire DV output, the HVX could record that input directly to P2.
