yes i do... I talked to the Panasonic Western Account Manager and he was very excited, as I had an earlier conversation with him awhile ago that the canadian prices where way to high and I refused to pay more (I bought mine from the US) . I guess they listen :)

yeah.. they have dropped a bit over the last 6 months but not much. The Canadian prices where overpriced, that is why they are lower now.

They should start dropping any day, now that I've bought mine!

As for the price drop.. I dunno. It all depends on if sales slow down and if they actually get some competition.

That looks good, but the place I'm getting it is in Glendale, which is in driving distance (I'm in San Diego), which means I get to actually hold it and touch it and smell it before I plunk down 3 grand.

Thanks for the tip though...

yeah.. cant say enough good things about them, they are where I got my DVX, and almost everything else. Ask for Cody when you get there.. have you gone in and demo'd the camera yet?

I originally tried to get CODY; but was contacted by RUSH (This is after I sent e-mail to CODY); RUSH stated that CODY advised HIM to contact me, so I assume that's cool?

I have not demo'd yet; I have, however, checked out the XL!s, the SONY whateva it's called, and have 'held' the DVX100.

I did extensive research in my decision, and after reading upmteen million reviews, watching footage and getting the experienced peroples opinion, decided I need the dvx100.

Basically, the 24p thing...

Exactly. I think I've said this before, but when I found out 28 days later was shot with XL1s' I was sold; but if you read the fine print (ASC article) it also mentions they used this complete custome lens set up (basically major cash for accessories)...

24p. Yes, this is the way.

John - make sure you get good driving directions to EVS. They're close to the 5 freeway but in a kind of non-descript industrial neighborhood. You actually enter through the front of the building but they are on the 2nd floor so you have to drive around back to get up there. I've only bought tapes from them but they're good guys and will treat you right.
