two hvx's is going to be a big bag. the ty 2 bag might work, but its very uncomfortable and not well made. and i don't think its waterproof. maybe the kata bp-502 might hold 2 hvx's? also what fish? the xtreme takes up a lot of room. and 2 tripods? are these real tripods or crappy little guys?

I use the Petrol Cocoon pack. It's huge, and I wouldn't go with anything bigger for a backpack. You could possibly fit 2 HVX's in it, but there wouldn't be much room for anything else besides maybe batteries and other small items you may need.

I'm not even sure they make a bag that could hold 2 tripods and 2 cameras. And if they did, I would never want to have to carry that much gear on my back. Will there be someone else shooting with the other HVX? if that's the case, get two backpacks and let the other cam op carry one of the cameras and tripod.

i just re arranged my kata hb-207 to see if it would hold two cameras(hvx & a1) it will. along with batteries as well. so if you had two hvx's and left the fish on one(xtreme w/rails would not fit) then you could fit both in your bag. but there isn't much room for anything else.

You'd be better off using a pelican case and attaching shoulder straps.
Thats almost too much for any backpack. Bring a friend and throw second backpack on him.

The Kata GRIZZY-3 Backpack should be plenty. I think we sell those for $550

DAAAAMN. I hadn't seen that before - the KATA bags are built tough too. I love my HB207. Glad I dont need that grizzly - makes my back hurt looking at it.

Yea, it's easily double the size of the top half of that guy in the picture. When I said plenty, I meant plenty. :)

I could fit a dead hooker in one of those.

I've been carrying 2 HVX-200s in this bag, along with a 17" Mac Book Pro (although the 17" is a tight fit), for the past couple years. Although you can carry it like a suit case, I love the flip out back pack straps.

It's sized for carry on and also fits my wide angle lens, 2 batteries and 6 P2 cards and, in a pinch, 2 wireless mics.

I bought it at Samy's. It's just a matter of configuring the partitions right.
