Deep in the heart of the Sierra Nevada mountains, a man loses his way and his will to survive.

[Reserved for Future Poster]

Until the poster is ready, here are a few photos from last winter to give you a sense of what I have to work with right around my house:

Reserved for BTS pics.

Update: Since I don't have any BTS pics yet, here is a picture of my helmet cam and boot cam setup that might come in handy. Unfortunately, they are SD only. Hmmmmm, maybe I can rig a mount on my ski boot for the HV-30....

Thanks for the encouragement, everyone!

Boy, I hope it snows this winter. I'd hate to have to buy a white card. That would blow my whole production budget!

Thanks Cris! Like I said in the PM, you’re my inspiration! I’ve got a story in mind, I just hope the weather cooperates and I can pull it off.

Awesome scenery I can't wait to see what you do with it. Good luck man.
Pauly

Thanks Pauly. I’m hoping to use a lot of that scenery as a way of maybe “carrying” the cinematography. I’m a newbie with limited talent so I need all the help I can get in that department.

Hopefully I can convince my artistic neighbor to work with me on this one. He’s got a snowmobile so we’d be able to reach the most scenic spots with that. I’ll offer him the Director of Photography title and plenty of beer...

For all of us who get snow say YAY!

NAY. I hate it.

Looks good man!

Robbie

Hah! Yeah Robbie, I have a love/hate relationship with the snow too. Love to ski on it, hate to snowblow and shovel it.

I like the second photo, looks pretty useful.. : )

Though I never worked on snow so I don't know is it maybe harder to shoot or something. I know I'm practicaly blind in a huge snow field.

Ooh, this would be awesome shot on a RED. :)

Best of luck to you.

I haven't done too much shooting on snow either, so it will be a learning experience. Seems like a polarizing filter would be a must and maybe a few ND filters would come in handy too.

A RED? Yeah, that would be awesome! I'm game if you want to loan me one, Tom.
