You know what I'm talking about, the first time you opened the box on yours, carefully separating the innards until you saw it there, still wrapped in its foam.
True story. *I had ordered it for Saturday delivery. *It was about 9:30 that Saturday morning, and I hadn't quite gotten up yet. *My girlfriend started getting a little frisky; I was happy to oblige . . . when a few minutes later, with animal-like perception, I heard footsteps leading to the front door. *I was halfway there before the knock, leaving a bewildered young miss behind.
It occurs to me that I ran the risk, in all my levels of excitement, of getting quite confused and kissing the UPS guy, but fortunately for all involved, that didn't happen. *But moments later, there I was, in pajamas on the living room floor, tearing at the package like a kid on Christmas -- Christmas in June. *Oh, the glow, the glow! *Rapture! *
Anyone else have a similar moment?
