I just got my new HPX-170 the other day so I went to Red Hook, Brooklyn to shoot some stuff. It was freezing cold and windy so we were very impatient. I will get some better footage soon.
Footage was shot with a Letus Extreme adapter with a Nikon 50mm and 60mm Macro.
I also used a ND .9 grad on a few of the shots.

I really liked the look of the skateboarding shot with the grad. could you post the brand/model?

Thanks man,
It is a Tiffen ND .9 Soft Grad 4x4 Filter
It's such an awesome filter for use with 35mm adapters in controlling blown out skies, I dont go anywhere without my Ultra Pol and ND. 9 grad.
Hey - nice stuff Jonathan!
I noticed on your vimeo page that you had also posted your "Winter Montage Reel 08". Just out of curiousity, what percentage of that was the 170?
Good lookin' footage dude.

Thank you!
I just got my 170 a couple days ago and it was my first time shooting with it.
I'd say 85% of the footage is HVX with Letus Extreme, and 15% of it is Super 16, its funny, you cant tell the difference lol
I am going to be posting a lot more footage. This footage wasnt really a good test because we were freezing cold and didnt feel like taking the time to put the camera to a good test.
Looking forward to it!
At first blush, how do you find the 170 as compared to your 200 in terms of how it renders color? Does it still feel like the same 'old MOJO?

To me, keeping in mind that I am not a super tech guy, right off the bat I dont notice a huge difference. The colors did seem to render very true, but this video wouldnt be a good test because I messed with the saturation on several clips....I am noticing that the LCD is very low res, almost seems lower than the HVX. I kept thinking I saw grain in the LCD fron the Letus but it was accually just the noise off the LCD...weird.
The HVX tech at Abel Cine Tech told me that if you have an HVX200a, dont bother upgrading, but if you are looking to buy a new camera between a 200a and a 170 to go with the 170. I never owned a 200 or 200a so I took his advice.
Cool - thanks!
Interesting about the LCD - maybe you got a funky one.
