As always, I will start off this fest with a pun-filled thread title offering scripts for the fest. Now, UNlike always, the system in which I use to do this will be different.
During TwilightFest (as many of you know) I opened the doors for people who wanted scripts, they ran in and then I was obliged to write them...all of them. I quickly became busy with other stuff and, as a result, the time allotted to each script and (very possibly) the overall quality suffered. I vowed to come up with a NEW way of doing things for this fest and, while I really haven't had time to think that up, I need to get the thread out there so I will create the new system right now as I type and hopefully it will work out in a mutually beneficial manner. :)
If you would be interested in a script for this fest, please either respond here or send me a PM. I cannot guarantee that I will get your screenplay done, but I will create a queue of sorts on a first come/first serve basis. Hence, if you are the first person to request a script, you will get first priority. Once that script is finished (or in an extended lull period) I will move on to the next one and so on and so forth until I can no longer do so.
Now, here are the options for plot:
1) Your own idea that you would like me to translate into a screenplay.
2) A partial idea that you would like me to help develop and then write.
3) One of my ideas listed in the nest post (if any) that you like and would be interested in producing.
4) One of my completed scripts (if any); synopses for which can be found in the next post.
One last note: please only add your name to the queue if you qualify for one of the above options or will qualify soon, this will allow the transition from one filmmaker to the other to go more quickly and efficiently. In summary, don't ask me to add your name if you MIGHT need a script, only if you know you will. Further, all I ask for in return is credit where it is due and that you have a serious intention to finish the film to the best of your ability.
I hope that this new system goes smoothly. If you have any suggestions on how I can make it better, you are welcome to comment (and in fact, it would be recommended that you do so). Other than that, all I can say is LET THE GAMES BEGIN and let's make this another kick-ass DVXuser fest!
