As always, I will start off this fest with a pun-filled thread title offering scripts for the fest. Now, UNlike always, the system in which I use to do this will be different.

During TwilightFest (as many of you know) I opened the doors for people who wanted scripts, they ran in and then I was obliged to write them...all of them. I quickly became busy with other stuff and, as a result, the time allotted to each script and (very possibly) the overall quality suffered. I vowed to come up with a NEW way of doing things for this fest and, while I really haven't had time to think that up, I need to get the thread out there so I will create the new system right now as I type and hopefully it will work out in a mutually beneficial manner. :)

If you would be interested in a script for this fest, please either respond here or send me a PM. I cannot guarantee that I will get your screenplay done, but I will create a queue of sorts on a first come/first serve basis. Hence, if you are the first person to request a script, you will get first priority. Once that script is finished (or in an extended lull period) I will move on to the next one and so on and so forth until I can no longer do so.

Now, here are the options for plot:

1) Your own idea that you would like me to translate into a screenplay.
2) A partial idea that you would like me to help develop and then write.
3) One of my ideas listed in the nest post (if any) that you like and would be interested in producing.
4) One of my completed scripts (if any); synopses for which can be found in the next post.

One last note: please only add your name to the queue if you qualify for one of the above options or will qualify soon, this will allow the transition from one filmmaker to the other to go more quickly and efficiently. In summary, don't ask me to add your name if you MIGHT need a script, only if you know you will. Further, all I ask for in return is credit where it is due and that you have a serious intention to finish the film to the best of your ability.

I hope that this new system goes smoothly. If you have any suggestions on how I can make it better, you are welcome to comment (and in fact, it would be recommended that you do so). Other than that, all I can say is LET THE GAMES BEGIN and let's make this another kick-ass DVXuser fest!

3) "Suicide Notes" - Plagued by depression, one man is near ready to take his own life, but after discovering a box full of his ancestor's suicide letters he wonders if there is more to his condition than he thought, and whether or not he is making the right choice.

I'll take a number 2, with cheese, and a Coke NO ICE.

You can have a number 2 (and I'll even be generous enough to throw in cheese) but you can get your own coke. Well, maybe I'll toss you that too.

3 possible synopses have been added to the second post. If you would like me to write one of them, let me know and we can discuss it. Over time, if they are not taken, I may write them anyway and move them into the completed script category.

Disclaimer: All original ideas are MINE. They may not be used without my permission. If there are ideas left unused at the end of the fest, they will remain my property as I may use them at a future date.

You would be guessing right. I'm trying to run a good show, here, we'll see how it works out. I actually have some ideas of my own this fest, so that's good. :)

I hope this has nothing to do with you running around naked on camera. We've got enough of that goign on with Rogan.

No. There's been a short that I've been wanting to do for a while. It got it's roots back when I was considering being a director (i.e. when my back seemed like it would be screwed up forever). There are some great characters and it fits the "loss" theme well.

I've actually been collaborating with another actor who would play the antagonist role a while back and he wanted to sit down at one point and really work out the character interactions and some of the plot elements. I'm sure he'd still be interested in doing that. I have to get in touch with him.

This would probably be shot on a RED and the locations wouldn't be that tough to get ahold of (except, maybe, a bar)...

Hmm...

enter the fray Tom... you know you want to...

I probably should. I've been brewing on this idea for so long and it's already gone through several revised drafts at this point. I still think it could be a stronger script though... there are too many questions at this point and the motivations for the characters could be stronger.

indeed. seeing rogan naked is known to cause vision loss... which would fit the theme of this fest.

please for the love of all that's sacred: do NOT encourage him! All of his script notes so far have all been about putting his ass in the shot! Is there no end to the sanity?

I've told you about it before and I think I even sent you a draft of it. :)
