See if someone will let you score just one scene just for fun, and see if you like it. You might end up making something really cool that you can use to gain confidence to score something in the future, or maybe the filmmaker will just let you score the rest of the film.

That's what happened on Trance De Muerte (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=147199), I just scored the opening scene on the boat just for fun, to see if I could do it, and I ended up scoring the whole film because Damien and Geoff liked what they heard. :smile:

That sounds like a good plan and if the score isn't very good, like you said, the filmmaker doesn't have to use it.

I'm listening to your Trance De Muerte score now and I like it. You've got some great sound textures in there. I like the pads.

I am considering writing and directing at least one short before the march deadline. If anyone is interested and lives around the 714, holla at ya boy! :P

If you are a writer and need crew I am available and have friends that are students as well that would be available to assist us. I am looking to expand my reel in general, I haven't had anything solid made since spring 2008.
