XH A1 help

I'm about to buy an XH A1, but have noticed that in most example footage online the Sony Z1, and even the Canon XL2 look better. The A1 footage all seems a little dull and flat.
All the reviews recommend the XH A1 for the price, but I'm confused by the footage I've seen.
What should I do??? Please help.

Online footage means nothing. You need to tweak the footage in-camera, on set through lighting and again in post. Look at the demo reel in my signature, 90% of it was shot on an A1.

Many thanks for that. Nice reel. I think I'll still go for the A1. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.
