As far as I know, you only need to make sure the SD card is a class 6 card. The class of the card has to do with the read/write speeds. In our case, we're worried about write speeds mostly.

it's an SDHC card. make sure you have that
they all sell them but it's much cheaper online... you can seriously save hundreds of dollars

There have been a number of threads about this, so check the forums. Someone else said somewhere that the HMC150 can use both Class 4 and Class 6 with no problem. The difference comes when transferring to your computer, wherein the Class 6 will transfer 50% faster than the Class 4.
Circuit City filed for bankruptcy today, so if you want to go there, hurry! (though most any brick and mortar store will be more expensive than ordering online)

It *can* use class 4 cards from what I understand... but only at lower resolution. When you're looking at classes, its all about read/write speeds. The HMC150 can write at up to 24Mbps... not be confused with MBps. 1 MBps = 8Mbps. Those tricky marketing guys will get you with that nonsense. But if your card is rated to write sustained (sustained write speed is important) at at least 24 Mbps you should be good no matter what. Lower write speeds will need to be used at lower resolutions.

From page 9 of the user manual, "∗ Speed class 4 or above is required for recording in PH mode or HA mode. "
Page 32
∗1 Use an SD memory class of SD speed class 4 or above when recording on PH mode or HA mode.
Recording cannot be completed on SD Memory Cards of lower speed classes.
∗2 Use an SD memory class of SD speed class 2 or above when recording in HG mode or HE mode.
Recording cannot be completed on SD Memory Cards of lower speed classes.
A class 4 is the minimum level I'd buy. If you get a class 6, it will offer faster transfer speeds to the computer.

I purchased two 8 gig sdhc cards made by TRANSEND class 6.
Just testing now but seem to be fast enough for recording and transfer.

Those Transend cards are good. I ended up buying 2 of the Panny certified for the camera as they were only 20 bucks more. I got a 16 gig one for 80 bucks.... The 32 gig ones don't seem like a great deal right now... besides I also have 4 of the 8 gig Transends..

Calumet Prospec Clas 6 SDHC cards are relatively cheap and reliable (so far).
