The Cemetery (Brevis 35mm EX1 fix test footage)

Hey guys, I just spent a short day at the Cemetery testing Cinevate's new CFXL for the EX1. I'm pretty happy with the fix...the edge to edge sharpness is superb, but now I need to buy faster lenses. The small amount of darkness on the left side is due to the slowness of my lenses. I didn't zoom past 71 because I found the "pocket hole" effect still get's worse the more you zoom in with this camera. Lenses shot with were- Nikon ED f3.5 18-35mm, Vivitar Series 1 f2.8-3.5 28-105mm, and a Nikon f4.5-5.6 70-210mm. Downloading the original mov is the best bet for quality, it's 960x540 H.264 compressed.

Nice looking stuff

It looks like there is some loss of sharpness at the edges of your wide shots. Maybe just the lens perhaps?

The shot with the rays of light shining through the red tree is awesome.

Hey thanks! Yes, it is due to the lens. I find that lens in particular is most susceptible to the "pocket hole" effect when you zoom in. It's still a $500 lens, but it's the less expensive of the two (the 17-35 is the other ED). What do you do...
