I have been playing around with the D90 for the past month and have some great success with getting really beautiful images out of the camera. The quality overall is low grade HD, but the look is much more interesting than most of what I have seen come out of the Canon 5D Mark II. This is mostly from the 24p versus 30p, but that has been gone over so many times in this forum, no need to keep going on and on with that. Here are the films. Enjoy.

Hey Jason, thanks for sharing your videos. I was hoping for short films as in "short stories," but your footage re-confirms what I think my d90 will be great for when it finally arrives in the mail - short narrative/short story topics. It has a great film look and although not amazing HD, it gets the job done. I had an XH-A1 and it was overkill for what I was doing. I produced one succesful documentary in college (shot all on a Sony HDR-HC3) that went on a tour throughout the East Coast and even has distrubution rights now -- made good money off of this senior project gone commercial! I thought purchasing an XH-A1 would be justified but I never really used it except for small pieces no longer than 2-3 minutes each with no audio.

Hopefully the d90 will be a great incognito way to continue my documentary shorts. Thanks again for sharing

Yeah, I guess short films was a bit misleading. Cool moments in life I shot and edited together quickly and put to video. =)

Hey Jason, awesome job on those shorts with the D90. I've been looking into getting a Nikon (D40 or D60) but now I'm drooling and craving the D90. I love that plane shot in that NYC piece, and the music is just killer. Thanks.
