View Full Version : Warranty Statement Question
Never noticed this before but I was going through the warranty papers included with my AG-DVX100A and I see there is a green warranty card with US warranty info and a white sheet Warranty Statement from Panasonic Canada. I'm assuming, for the same reason French is included in the manual, that they simply ship camcorders that are packaged the same for both countries in the North American region.
However, just to double check, could those of you with an AG-DVX100A verify which warranty papers were included with your camcorder? There should be the green USA one and one from Panasonic Canada.
Thanks so much!

Oz, both cards were with mine, also. Even the regulatory certification statements on the bottom of my camera are about Canadian compliance rather than FCC. I called a Panasonic service center, and they told me it's because the Canadian specs are more rigorous. Mine is most definitely a US warranty.
Thanks for that immediate reply! I wasn't concerned about it until a friend brought the warranties into question. I'm also glad you called Panasonic. Where did you purchase yours from? Thanks again!

Got mine from Able Cine Tech. They had some of the first available right before Christmas - and assured me it was a US warranty.

If you bought from an authorized dealer, you got no worries . . . ;D
Fortunately, I did purchase from an authorized dealer. Even double-checked Panasonic's website.
Speaking of authorized dealers, I entered EVS Online's zipcode to see if it would come up as an authorized dealer, and I was alarmed at first because they were not listed on Panasonic's website!
But then I remembered they have two locations, one on the west coast and another in the east. Sure enough, the east coast zipcode came up under Panasonic's authorized dealer's list. ;D
Also spoke with Rush recently to ask about their special DVX User price - if you haven't bought one yet, they have the best deal! I wish I had known earlier...

yes.. EVS takes care of us DVXuser.com folks well, and are by far the best around when it comes to service, at least in my experiences.

Rush has the distinction of probably having spoken directly to many of us -- which none of the rest of us can claim.
:D
Hey you guys beat me to it, I was going to post that the East coast office is the Panny dealer. I love smart customers! ;D
