So a friend of mine sent me a trailer a few months back for this film I had never heard of. Long story short it was the fall and I watched it tonight.

AMAZING. The visuals were mind blowing and one scene transition in particular that makes your mind hurt in the best way possible. Shot in 18 countries over a 4 year span this is great fun film full of creativity and passion...which is probably most people havn't heard of it. HURRAY HOLLYWOOD.

Anyone else see this movie? What did you think?

Amazingly shot. Saw it in theaters. However, I was bored most of it. To boring. I mean. It was fun to watch the first time, but it dragged on forever. I probably couldn't watch it twice.

Easily one of the greatest films I have ever seen, both story wise and imagery wise. I can't even describe the emotion the shots and plot convey. You would be a fool to not at least give the movie a single view

I saw this back in the day in the theaters too, the trailer looked amazing. The cinematography was great, but the real parts of the movie in the hospital were just difficult to watch. The acting was really bad and the dialogue was even worse, ruined it for me. But I wouldn't hesitate to grab the dvd and fast forward through the soap opera parts to check out the visual scenes again.

I thought overall the acting was alright. I think the girl did a wonderful job. I dont think its one of the greatest films ever made, but I do think its great. Watching the behind the scenes featurettes on the dvd was nice as well.

Keep in mind the little girl actor doesn't speak english, I thought she did a pretty good job.

How can you say this film was boring - the story was amazing - the cinematography STUNNING. I could watch this film over and over again.

I had never heard of this until now. I just watched "The Cell" last night. His first Movie with J-Lo. I was really really drunk but that film looked amazing. It was not the best movie but I thought the cinematography was top notch in that. But again I was plastered. I really want to see this. He is a visionary director and his style has always drawn me in. ever since the R.E.M video.

I'm a spike jonze fanboy so I giggled like a girl when I saw it at blockbuster in the 3 for $20 bin.

I loved it. I can see what people are saying about it, originally I thought it would deal more with the fantasy, and the first few times they incorporated changes it struck me as a bit awkward (like when they changed the masked guys voice, but I realized that it all played in perfectly as it went on.

I liked the turns the story took though, maybe I wouldn't have without the overwhelming cinematic value and the symbolism, but together it worked well. I feel like I'd see new things if I watched it again.
