Just moved to DC Area

Hi I just moved to the DC Area, I know there is a film community here, and I wanted to get involved with DVXer's in the area. Is there any particular place I should look? Thanks.

I presume since you're posting in this thread that you're an actor?

For acting I'd suggest signing up for Brian Dragonuk's mailing list. A lot of local people (including myself) post audition notices there. To subscribe to the screen-acting list, send a blank e-mail to: BDragonuk-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

You can also check out the Actor's Center (http://www.actorscenter.org/). You have to "join" up with them and it costs money, but could certainly be worth it just to get involved.

Also take a peek at Stonehenge mass-auditions (http://www.teamjabberwocky.com/stonehenge.html). A ton (like 100) actors read for a room full of producers/directors/anyone-looking-for-actors. It's a bit of a crap-shoot but can be useful for generally networking and meeting people. I met my girlfriend there, so that's worked out nicely for me. :)
