Yeah I was bidding on this before and it was hanging at $800.00 And he pulled the plug and relisted it for that. But if you go to manufacturer web site that is what they charge. Thanks for nothing. >:(

I can't imagine it would be all that difficult to jury-rig a follow focus that, while not super-precise, would at least be better than free-handing the focus ring . . . for a hell of a lot less than a deuce and a half large.

that box thing with the rails.. thats from image 2000 and I have made 3 of them so far for about 20 bucks in cost (takes a shitload of time, specially tapping the threads etc) but they sell just that little plate with rails for 400 bucks. insane.


as for the follow focus, they are somewhat simple to make but you need a lathe which I dont have. Cavision and Century are both making cheap(er) follow focus though so I think the price should come way down.
