Just checked it out, very nice indeed - although it's hard to tell because the of the Vimeo compression. This is making me even more anxious as I'm hoping to receive our units this week!

Hey Stuart, what was that crane in the background, do you freak people out when you roll up with that thing at weddings?

It's a ProAm Crane, you can buy them on eBay. On the vid it is in 10' mode, but you can add an extra section to make it 14'.

It definately freaks photographers out and gives them an inferiority complex then they have to stand on a chair to get the high shot :)

Clients either dont seem to notice, or otherwise are quite impressed, I haven't had anybody complain about it.

A ProAm Crane! I'll have to check that out - at the moment I use a the heavy duty Manfrotto monopod with a 503 head and it's quite heavy even with the Canon A1 on it, it's a real challenge trying to do those nice pedestal type crane shots with it.

Stuart,
This does look good, but I can tell there is a light on them. Not to say this is a bad thing because I use a light at every reception. I'm hoping for the cam that I can use in low light without a light even if it is dim. What I want is if the room is dim, the picture is dim. Reflect exactly what happens. Anyway, great looking stuff regardless. Is that an HV20 on the crane? How are the other cams matching with the HMC?

The only light used was the litepanel micro on the crane, which was about 10' from the couple. This is not a very powerful light and as you can see the image was still fairly good when the camera was round the other side. There was no light on board the 151E at all. Even with the Litepanel I would say that the lighting was considerably darker than a usual wedding disco asthere were no disco lights.

As you can see from the footage it was considerably lighter outside!

The previous week I used the camera in a normal wedding disco and used no vid light and zero gain! I think this camera would be great for anyone needing low light performance who cannot afford a 2/3" chip broadcast cam.

Why do we need the giant:

"HMC150 LOWLIGHT TEST FOOTAGE"

across the entire middle of the screen. No one else finds this terrible distracting!!?? Footage looks really clean, but I'd love to be able to analyze a bit better *hint, hint*.

I didn't want any customers to think that the edited footage would be like that. I guess maybe it was a bit OTT though :)

Ha ha! Yes I found it annoying too!... especially when it is right across peoples faces, but I didn't want to be the first to complain :cheesy:
