funny thing is, there was no designing. It's actually just the basement of the bands producers studio. All I had to do was setup my lighting and we were ready to shoot.

Holy crap... that's sharp. Look at the mesh on the mic.

Ya, I'm very impressed with the results. Everything is so crisp, it has a nice look to it.

I'll post up some color corrected full-res stills later, and maybe a clip or two.

Wow, I thought you sounded young when I talked to you. hehe... not that there is absolutely anything wrong with that

Is there any CC on that frame grab?

Now that you mentioned it I am looking at the grab like an AD for the mic... lol... I am sure with the motion it will be far from it though. :)

I have the 8' version.

It does what it should do for the money. It's smooth when operated correctly and it gets the job done. I wouldn't put anything heavier than an HVX on it though. For the money, it's a great deal, but don't expect to be doing any precise movements with it.

how is it in terms of swaying side to side? would you consider mounting it on the back of a truck going down a smooth road slowly?

It does have some shake when you get to the end of your movements. Personally, I wouldn't trust it in the back of a truck, it just isn't that steady.
