Quick question - what's the best (and smallest) 35mm lens adapter for the HMC150?

Letus or PS Technik? And which model?

(and u can't use the Letus 35mini on an HMC ...right?)

My RNG 35 v3 is fairly compact and reasonably priced. Not sure how the IQ compares to others.

I currently use an RNG35 V3 on my existing cams and hope that it will work equally well on the HMC152 :)

Hey dcloud, have you got your RNG yet?
I had to ship mine back to Tracey because it had some minor alignment issues (probably due to rough handling during shipping) and he's also replacing the small achromat for a better one to improve the edge to edge sharpness on my HV30. I don't want to hassle him because I know they're flat out trying to manufacture the new models.

I've ordered two HMC152s, hopefully they'll arrive in the next couple of days & boy it would also be nice if I received my RNG back too ;)

Marley, it depends on your budget.

After some research for what would work for me shooting weddings & events I opted for the RNG35 because it's light and portable, you don't necessarily need a full rail support system to use it and it's around half the cost of the big names.

Keep in mind though that you get what you pay for and the reason Letus, Brevis, Redrock are so expensive is because they've been around longer and have had more research & development time.

Overall I'm happy with my RNG, I wish I could tell you how well it goes with the HMC but unfortunately I'm still waiting on my local Panasonic dealer to get them in :(

Id really get an hmc but currently the economy here is f#%@ed up. the thing'll cost a fortune here. I;m waiting for the economy to go up... or maybe wait out on the upcoming video dslrs. panasonic's micro four/thirds seems interesting so is upcoming develeopment on red..

I hear ya man! The economy is screwed everywhere, our Aussie dollar compared to the USD has fallen from $0.98 only a few months ago to about $0.63 right now. It's no longer economical to import stuff via e-bay anymore because we can pay that same high price at home at least until the local price goes up too. I know Sony Australia had run out of stock of the EX1 at the old prices and has now increased it's price on it by 10%, lucky for Panasonic because we were so close to going with EX1s instead of HMCs.

Hey KL,

John Barry is a solid & reputable dealer but price wise you can do better ;)

I ordered mine about a month ago from Stefan at Digital Video Technologies in Sydney. Although they are a licensed Panny dealer they are a small business and so you are best to call them direct on 02 9522-2244

At the moment they are not answering my 'When am I going to get my cameras' e-mails and it's so darn frustrating!! I don't know if the other dealers have stock but even if they do I don't know if it will be for the price I got from Stefan ;)

Keep in mind I'm buying 2.

Do anybody know a video where I can see a comparision of a camera WITH 35mm and one without? I want to see what the 35mm adapters is doing to the picture. Why is it so great.
