I shot my film on DVX, SQUEEZE mode.

When I export this footage, I usually go the custom 854 x 480 route.

But I added a 2:35:1 matte, and when I export it, I don't want to see the matte.

I basically want it like my grabs in this second post:

I've tried Crop, Letterbox, and the other option, but I guess I typed in the numbers wrong.

854 x 410?

If anyone could let me know as soon as possible, that'd be great!

Try 854 x 363.

Choose the crop setting.

Oh that's to weird.

I was just playing around with a bunch of setting and my last one was 854 x 360, CROP.

And it worked.

Then I came here.. LOL.

Well, if you want the exact resolution for 2:35:1 and you want 854.... then it is 854 x 363

Fractions rounded down. :)

360 is close enough. You're just cropping off a little more than you need to.

There is no crop option.

i tried the 854x363 and i still got a small matte is there anyway to completely eliminate it??
