Hi Larry, just wondering and would like to know why my film's "Upload Verified" is in dark orange color while others are in light green...and I'm the only one who has a color orange...What's the difference? Just would like to clarify. Thanks!

Sort of. I'm not at my home computer right now and I don't exactly recall the specifics, but if anyone out there is having trouble with exporting with Premiere Pro, PM me and a little later today I can email you specific details with screen grabs of the export settings and what not.

Wow, I really hope nothing went wrong-- I uploaded mine, and then it said upload complete... and the my firefox crashed (first time firefox has ever crashed on me btw)... I really hope that everything went through fine... let me know if I need to resend. I do know that it did infact say 100% before it closed... I think it was in another step... something about file verification or authentication? It had something that said "this may take a few minutes if the file you uploaded was very large."

No, because my upload script renames the file to a consistent format based on the field data (specifically film title and dvx user name). So whatever you named it previously it is no longer that name.

How does the system work? We submit the films, is there a polling place for those who have over 50 posts? How does the grading system work? Sorry for all the questions.

The list in the first post is the final list. All valid entries were added to the list.

The start of viewing is predicated on a number of factors, not the least of which includes downloading every entry and watching to ensure it is within the total running time, that it includes the required element, that it meets the theme and that it does not violate any of the rules.

We will, as always, work as quickly as possible to get this step completed, but there are also some other maintenance steps that must be completed as well. We appreciate your patience, and fully understand your anxiety to see the entries. Just keep an eye on the forum and we'll post as soon as they are ready to view.

Once the films are ready we will post a link to the viewing/voting page. If you have 50+ posts and/or submitted a film in this fest you will see the films listed and a 10 star rater next to each entry. You click the film title to download it, then after you watch it you select the rating you wish to apply to that film between 1 and 10 (where 1 means it was the worst film you ever saw, it couldn't get any worse and 10 means it was the best film you ever saw, it couldn't get any better).

If you did not submit a film and you do not have at least 50 posts you will still see the list of films and be able to download/watch them, but you will not have the option to vote.

Well, I've just completed the monster download of all the fest films - it's just under 3GB folks! - for my share of the approval process. (We don't make Larry sit through them all all by himself.)

From what I've been following and from what little snippits I've seen, I am very excited to see what everyone has come up with. I have high hopes for the films I will be seeing tonight.

I'd like to take this chance to thank everyone who has given the time and effort to compete in TwilightFest. Now that uploads are in, and while you are waiting for viewing to begin, take a few days off and relax - you've earned it. Well done to everyone. :thumbsup:

We've jsut updated the list on the firstpost of this thread to reflect the current status.
We are working our way through the entries now, makign sure they all adhere to the rules, etc..

As we work through the list, sometimes we have questions about films to the makers ("Where's the darn ball?") which can cause short delays in the approval of some films. So don't panic if you don't see yours approved yet. It just means that we haven't managed to get it viewed & cleared yet. We are of course working as fast as we can to get everyoen cleared and into the fest.

Of course we hope to just watch through all the films and check them off as we go. We arn't trying to keep anyone out; if there's a way we can qualify a film, we will do what we can to make it happen.

In other news; the films I've had a chance to review have been - again - great films. I haven't come across any that I'd call a "poor film". Good work everyone! :thumbsup:
