i've noticed you can adjust the lcd b. light just under the handle as well as adjust brightness in the LCD menu. what's the proper way of calibrating this monitor?
thanks.

The best I've done is just setting the camera to color bars mode and setting it so it looks how I'm used to seeing color bars. If I go outside with it I have to change the settings again (obviouly).
When setting exposure (especially outdoors) I rely on zebras and the histogram to show me the way. As far as color as long as I've remembered to white balance then it will look good.

ok, but do you use the b.light control under the camera's handle or do you set the brightness in the LCD menu?

I always leave the LCD backlight on. I've tried turning it off to test the "reflective hybrid" screen but haven't had good results in full daylight. Indoors all I get is a black screen.
I adjust the backlight in combination with the brightness control.
