can someone explain the difference between shooting 1fps in S&Q Motion vs. 1 frame per 1 second in Interval Rec? example clips would be helpful. what shutter speeds would help make either modes look better? or does it depend on the look your going for? i tried shooting a scene this weekend with my subject moving from left to right on my lens with traffic parallel to him passing by. the effect i wanted was for him to appear to be walking at normal speed with the traffic speeding behind him at 3-4 times the normal rate. i had him walk really slow. i shot in S&Q mode at 12/6/3/ maybe even 1 fps. i can't remember my shutter speeds. probably 1/48 or 1/32. the results weren't that great. the traffic looked ok, but my subject was jittery. also, has anyone else noticed that shooting at different frame rates doesn't appear to effect exposure. shooting at 60fps should need more light compared to 24fps. right? probably a digital anomaly, but i'm sure one of you has the answer.

thanks in advance!!!

1fps in SnQ mode and 1fps in Interval mode are the same thing I think.
I generally use a slower shutter speed because the added blur between frames should help the motion seem a little smoother.
The subject can appear juddery if you do not lock to full manual focus or perhaps he was still walking too fast. Was either of those the case?
I think shudder speed has a great effect on exposure. I need more light when using 60p overcrank for example.
Maybe if you go from 24p Shutter 1/48 to 60p Shutter 1/60 you dont notice the difference because the shutter sped doesn't change much and the camera is always scanning at 60 fields a second regardless of frame rate but Im not sure.

there is definitely a difference between 1fps(s&q) and 1fps(interval). you can notice it right away in camera. i did have it in manual focus mode. perhaps my shutter was too fast. next time i'll try 1/24. your theory makes sense regarding exposure at 60fps. thanks.

does anyone else know what the difference between these two modes might be?
