The compression on some of that stuff is terrible, I mean really bad !

Reminds of something a £100 point and shoot might achieve. I saw aspects of this over compression in Vincent L's 'Reverie' - but here it is in the cold light of day.

Indeed was was disappointed as well. But closer examining the "originals" revealed that they are not directly from the camera but heavily recompressed at only 4.4Mbps. No wonder it looks bad...

Well spotted, I didn't think to check the data rate - you are quite right it comes up as 4.67Mbps in Quicktimes 'info' panel.

Obviously has been heavily and poorly recompressed, thanks for pointing this out ! :)
