Hello. I am purchasing an soon and was looking for any suggestions as to what would be a good, all-around lens to get with it.
Thanks!

You don't say what your budget is, but I went with the stock Fuji 17x17.6 BERM and have been very happy with it. I shoot corporate, doc's, and TV commercials with it and never had any complaints except maybe on the extreme wide end. But it's a fairly inexpensive lens. Oh yea, and it breathes like fat man running a marathon, so if rack focus is a biggy for you, it may not be the best choice.
Some have been using older SD lenses and are convinced they are just as good as the HD lenses, but I can't speak to that as I only have the Fuji.

Keep an eye out for Fujinon's new ZA series of "affordable" HD lenses. They are supposed to be superior to the lenses sold in the HPX500 packages. The new lenses should be hitting the market soon. From what I have read there's a very nice wide angle lens in the group. I think it's a 4.5.

Hello. I am purchasing an HVX 500 soon and was looking for any suggestions as to what would be a good, all-around lens to get with it. I am shooting a feature but will be using the camera for other projects as well. I want good DOF and a clean, crisp appearance.
Thanks!

I would check out the Angenieux lenses. Their 19X 2X extender HD lens is pretty hot. We just became a dealer for them because we fell in love with their products. Call with questions.

Andrew,
Can you give a rough cost of the lens that you've mentioned?
